We are Kelsey and Brenden Sandness, a husband and wife duo. Transplants from opposite ends of the country, we met in Aspen, Colorado back in 2017. “Acclimate Studios” started from the many passions we share. The name stems from always trying new things: learning, growing, adapting to acclimate as a team in our mountain community.

Founder & Creative Lead
A go-getter in all things work and fun, Kelsey tackles visual identities, builds client partnerships, and explores the mountains with equal energy. An ultra runner, newbie ski mountaineer, wife, and dog mom, she thrives on alpine starts and chasing adventure, bringing that same curiosity and drive to every project.
With a BA in Graphic Design and Fine Arts and a minor in Illustration, Kelsey spends her days crafting visual identities, marketing campaigns, web design, and brand strategy. She focuses on cohesive, creative storytelling while building lasting client partnerships and meaningful community connections.

From tall tees to lycra. An avid skier, Brenden’s passion for the mountains is constantly evolving. Raised in Washington state, drawn to Colorado following a freeskiing background, he quickly adapted to new variations of sliding around on snow. Now he purely focuses on moving fast throughout the mountains and capturing the journey along the way.

Sidekick
Acclimate Studios’ most recognizable face, Balto is our Husky / Catahoula Leopard dog mix. An introverted bed hog while working, an energy packed fur ball on his days off.

We love nature and capturing people in the little moments that make then whole. From vast landscapes to people in those scenes and showcasing the journey to get to these special places. Our focus, style and inspiration is on the pure connection with the outdoors.

In his free time, Brenden loves road tripping, ski mountaineering, and high alpine summits.
Kelsey loves trail running, cooking, and tagging along on backcountry adventures.
